Complimentary Companion Seat
The RNZB is pleased to offer a complimentary companion seat to any customer with a disability who requires assistance in order to attend a performance.
To book a companion seat, please call the ticketing agent associated with the performance venue where you wish to attend.

Bookings for patrons with special access needs who require a complimentary companion seat can be made though Ticketmaster on 0800 111 999.
The best mobility access into the Aotea Centre is through level one of the Civic car park or at the northern end of the building, to the right of the front steps. Aotea Centre lifts are located inside the building and go from level 1 (near the car park entrance) up to level 5 (ASB Theatre balcony).
For every show, visually impaired patrons can call Ticketmaster on 09 970 9745 any time before 5pm on the day of the show and they will make sure the front of house team is aware of your needs.

- Lifts to access all levels – Fully accessible for patrons using wheelchairs with lifts and ramps to assist those who have difficulty climbing stairs

- Hearing aid loops available for all shows. Contact Ticketmaster on 09 970 9700 for advice on the best area to be seated in.

- The entire ground floor area is wheelchair accessible

- Lift access to the upstairs function room area and the dress circle auditorium, but not the gallery
- Disabled parking is available outside the east entrance door
- There is a bus stop a couple of doors down from the venue.

- One disabled parking space is available in the Tiffin Street carpark adjacent to the main Pan Pack Foyer, with an additional two disabled parking spots in the parking building to the left of the Napier Port foyer.

- Lifts provide access to all areas of the theatre for functions and events (please note that accessible seating is just located in the stalls)

- There are 3 public disabled car parking spaces near to the venue, one on Broadway Avenue and two on King Street
- Venue is accessible via public transport

- The stalls area is wheelchair accessible. Access is not possible to the circle
- Two accessible toilets on the stalls level
- Braille is used on the lift buttons

The St. James theatre does not have allocated parking. Limited street parking is available on Courtney Place.

- There are 8 wheelchair seats, all with companion seating, available in the stalls. Accessible bathrooms are available on the ground floor.
- There is lift access to the Dress Circle, but there are a small number of stairs to reach the seats.
- Patrons with vertigo should avoid the Dress Circle and Grand Circle layers.
- An audio loop covers the entire venue.
