The Royal New Zealand Ballet is a charitable trust registered under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 (registration number CC25091). Donations made to the RNZB of $5 or more are eligible for a 33% tax credit from the Inland Revenue Department.

^The IRD does not consider a contribution to a charitable donation if it is given in exchange for material benefits. This means that the amount paid for the tickets and programmes arranged by the RNZB (valued at $135 per ticket and $15 per programme) is not a charitable donation and does not qualify for a tax rebate. If you decline this opportunity when you make your contribution, the full amount will be considered a charitable donation.
