Voyages makes its debut in 2026 at The Hannah Playhouse. This important programme will feature six short pieces by RNZB artists, and a new work by New Zealand choreographer Jeremy Beck. Together, these works reflect the breadth of creativity within the company, and the next generation of creatives.

Voyages is a space for development and exploration. It allows our artists to test ideas, build their choreographic voice, and gain experience creating and presenting original work. Each piece is developed within the company, offering a snapshot of emerging perspectives and approaches to dance.

Presented at The Hannah Playhouse, Voyages marks the RNZB’s first performance in this intimate theatre setting.

Tickets are general admission and available at no cost; audiences are welcome to include a koha with their booking which will help support the creation and presentation of new work like Voyages.

We invite you to join us and be part of this stage of development for our artists and their choreography.

Invite-only Performance

Behind the scenes

“Our 2026 Voyages season sees us setting forth once more to explore uncharted waters and break through into new creative terrain.

In this spirit, we are delighted to be taking Voyages out of the studio and into the theatre for the first time, and we look forward with great anticipation to the opportunities this endeavour with The Hannah Playhouse opens up. We also warmly welcome Jeremy Beck into the RNZB whānau and onto the Voyages team, choreographing alongside our brilliant RNZB dancers.

We hope you enjoy joining us for the rewards of this latest foray!”

– Ty King-Wall, Artistic Director
