Niamh O'Meara

Niamh O’Meara trained at Chilton Ballet Academy in Lower Hutt and the New Zealand School of Dance. In 2020, Niamh was a finalist in the RAD 14 plus awards and won the bronze medal in the senior division of the Asian Grand Prix finals.  Niamh was a part of the RNZB’s National Mentor Programme in 2020 and in 2022 joined the RNZB as a guest dancer for Tutus on Tour. Niamh joined the RNZB as one of two Friedlander Foundation Scholars for 2023 and was promoted to Artist in 2025. 

In 2023, Niamh danced as a Capulet Lady in Andrea Schermoly’s Romeo and Juliet and performed in Serenade by George Balanchine. Niamh also danced in Tiaho Pō, choreographed by Laura McQueen Schultz and Nick Schultz. She ended the year as a Dew Fairy, Witch, Child and Boogie in Loughlan Prior’s Hansel and Gretel.
