Dancer News: Farewell Felipe

The Royal New Zealand Ballet would like to extend our warm congratulations to dancer Felipe Domingos who has been offered a position with a major European ballet company.
Felipe hails from São Paolo Brazil and joined the RNZB two and a half years ago, after studying at the New Zealand School of Dance.
RNZB Artistic Director Patricia Barker says: “We want to congratulate Felipe on his new appointment. He will be missed on our stage and in our studios and we wish him great success with his new company “
Some of Felipe’s stage highlights include the premieres of The Piano: the Ballet by Jiri Bubenicek, Francesco Ventriglia’s The Wizard of Oz and Romeo and Juliet, Liam Scarlett’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Hong Kong and Wellington, and other diverse works including William Forsythe’s In the Middle, Somewhat ElevatedCarmen and L’Arlesienne by Roland Petit and Episode 31 and Cacti by Alexander Ekman.
While we are sad to see Felipe go, we thank him for the contribution that he has made to the RNZB during his time with us and wish him well for the future.
We look forward to his final shows with the company during Dancing with Mozart and Tutus on Tour and will say our final farewell on July 21.
