At the end of February, we spoke to our 2021 Todd Scholar, Dane Head. After six weeks as an RNZB new company member, we asked him how he’s enjoying professional life!

In six words, how have your first six weeks with the RNZB been?
Very exciting, fun and very sweaty!

What are your six dream roles you’d love to perform?
There are too many to choose from! Prince Siegfried, the Peasant pas from Giselle… Honestly I’d be more than happy to do any role! 

If you had to do six reps of a step to save your life – what step would you choose?
Probably a double saut de basque!

Where is your hometown? Tell us six things you’d do on your day off/on holiday in your hometown?
I’m from Auckland! When I’m home I like to catch up with friends, go to the beach, spend time with my family, attempt to stay fit, skateboard and enjoy getting fed by my mum.

What would you tell a six year old is the coolest thing about being a professional dancer?
You get to do what you love all day – plus you get free ballet shoes!!
