Creative Dance Workshops

Let our dance educators inspire your students with dance workshops designed to develop understanding of the elements of dance, choreographic techniques, and classical and contemporary dance. For dancers and non-dancers alike and tailored to the age group and needs of your students.

Example of themes for a workshop:

  • Introductory session “What is Ballet?”
  • Exploration of the choreography from the current production
  • Dance workshop focused on a specific topic linked to your student’s classroom activities
  • Dance workshop based on our NCEA resources

All our schools’ workshops support the aims and objectives of the New Zealand Arts Curriculum and are suitable for primary through to NCEA-level students.

Workshops can range from an hour to an extended involvement lasting several months.

Cost: $5 per student (maximum 30 students per session, minimum 10).

How to book: If you would like to book a dance workshop or discuss the possibility of a school visit or a residency, please contact RNZB Education at education@rnzb.org.nz
