We are looking for expression of interests from experienced Mechanist and Fly Persons for various projects in 2025 both in Wellington and for the national tours. Experience in pack ins and pack outs, Rigging, set building, operation of the flying system, People who can work in a team or under their own initiative, good communication skills, good health and safety knowledge in a theatrical environment and understanding and implementing safe working practices. We’re currently looking for a part time Events Coordinator, fixed term from 1 October to 15 December 2025 during our end of year season of ‘The Nutcracker.’

You will be responsible for providing end to end organisation and coordination of our development events and functions – from managing RSVPs, seating plans and catering to carrying out hands-on event delivery and pack downs.

You will be based in our Wellington home the St James, reporting into the Philanthropy Manager. Hours may vary week to week, with busier weeks around our touring dates. Some evening and weekend work will be required. Ability to travel is essential – you will be travelling with us to Auckland, Christchurch and possibly Napier.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in professional event planning and delivery
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills
  • Experience in using CRM systems for record keeping, list management
  • Experience of using MailChimp or similar platform for e-comms
  • A background or interest in the performing arts would be an advantage
