Musical Moves – RNZB Venus Rising dance workshops with live musicians

The RNZB is offering Wellington and Auckland dance workshops on Venus Rising – a season of four celestial ballets by internationally renowned choreographers capturing spirit and power.

Aimed at intermediate and secondary school students, these workshops will be led by RNZB Dance Educators Chloe Bishop and Lauren Byrne, dance education professionals with a strong track record in delivering engaging and age-appropriate, curriculum-linked education events. The RNZB have invited a quartet of classical professional musicians from Orchestra Wellington and the APO to provide live music for the workshops. Thanks to the financial support of the Four Winds Foundation this is a unique opportunity for the students involved to experience and understand the special working relationship between music and dance. Including in this dance workshop package is the opportunity to attend the performance.

As you can imagine, we anticipate a great response. Please express your interest with your preferred dates by the Friday 1 May 2020 to ensure that you do not miss out!
