Matz Skoog, the Artistic Director who saw the RNZB into the 21st Century

In 1996 Matz Skoog took on the role of artistic director for the RNZB, inheriting a company in a dire funding crisis. He helped secure funding to keep the company afloat, oversaw the move into our home, the St James Theatre, brought acclaimed local and international choreographies to the company and revitalised the company as it grew into the staple of the Aotearoa arts scene that it is today.
