Ihi FrENZy: an Aotearoa collaboration

Ihi FrENZy was landmark performance, with collaboration between the RNZB and Te Mātārae-i-Ōrehu Kapa Haka group, with repertoire that lives on within the company to this day.

Ihi FrENZy – a landmark performance from 2001.
The programme was presented as a double bill in partnership with kapa haka ensemble Te Matārae I Orehu, with FrENZy choreographed by Mark Baldwin to music by Split ENZ.
Together with Doug Hauraki of the Aotearoa Traditional Performing Arts Society, now Te Matatini, Managing Director Sue Paterson was a driving force behind its development and success.
