Alumni

Alumni Association
Since its founding in 1953, the Royal New Zealand Ballet has been an ever-growing family connected by ballet.
The alumni of the RNZB are part of a global community of arts professionals and enthusiasts. Leaving the RNZB is not the end, but the beginning of a lifelong link with both the Company and your colleagues, from onstage and behind the scenes.
To mark the Company’s 70th year, the Royal New Zealand Ballet launched its first official Alumni Association, to offer an ongoing opportunity for former members to stay connected with the Company and reconnect with old colleagues.
Whether you were a dancer, worked behind the scenes, or contributed in another way, we are thrilled to have you as part of the RNZB family.
With reunion events now hosted annually, rather than waiting for milestone anniversaries, we aim to bring alumni together to celebrate memories, and the shared experience of being a part of the RNZB’s history.
Following events in Wellington and Auckland in 2023 and 2024, our 2025 season will include Alumni Association events held in Wellington, in May 2025.

Stay connected with the RNZB alumni network! Sign up to the Alumni Association to receive our annual e-newsletter to hear news and updates from the RNZB, and invitations to exclusive alumni events.
We also have a dedicated Facebook page for Friends and Alumni – when you sign up you’ll also be invited to join. We won’t ever share your details with other alumni without your permission – but are of course pleased to assist with re-connecting old friends and colleagues whenever it’s possible.
Please note: if you haven’t heard from us recently, we may not have your current details. Please take a moment to fill out our online form below with your details so we can add you to our Alumni Association network.
We ask that alumni sign up personally, and not on behalf of others.
If you have a friend or family member who is a former member of the RNZB but is unable to sign up online and/or receive email communication, please email alumni@rnzb.org.nz so that we can contact you personally to discuss other ways of connecting.

"The RNZB shaped my life as a person and artist. I loved the Tutus on Tour season and how that created such resilience in us all. As well as so many beautiful memories touring our stunning country and bringing dance to every corner of New Zealand!"
