Maggie Bryan joined the RNZB as an apprentice in January 2020 and was promoted to company member in 2021. Since joining the company she has performed solo roles including Helena in Liam Scarlett’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream as well as the Fairy of Serenity, the Fairy of Clarity and Little Red Riding Hood in The Sleeping Beauty.  

Maggie grew up in Queensland, Australia. In 2019 she joined the Jette Parker Young Artists’ programme at Queensland Ballet, performing in a range of ballets including Balanchine’s Serenade, Kenneth Macmillan’s Romeo and Juliet, Ben Stevenson’s Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, Paul Knobloch’s Magnetic Fields and Greg Horsman’s Never Stop Falling In Love. 

She trained at the Queensland Ballet Academy and Queensland Ballet’s Pre-professional programme, where her teachers included​ Li Cunxin, Greg Horsman, Mary Li and Amy Hollingsworth.
