Professional Development Seminar

Delivered by acting Artistic Director, David McAllister and Artistic Staff, this two day intensive will be a conversation about teaching ballet in the 21st Century. With a focus on topics such as:

1. Body positivity and strengthening to support dance training and injury prevention
2. Augmenting syllabus training with open classes
3. Diversity, inclusion and making ballet more accessible to the broadest population with a focus on Māori, Pasifika and migrant communities

Participants will get the opportunity to watch company class and rehearsals at our lovely new, refurbished home the St James Theatre.
