Emanuele Chiesa was born in Milan, Italy. He began his dance studies in Milan, going on to Rome to study at the dance school of the Rome Opera House, from which he graduated in 2015.
He began his professional career in projects with Aterballetto and also working with the choreographer Alessandra Delle Monache in Marseille, appearing in her productions of Carmen and Dansons par l’Europe. He then worked with Balletto di Siena and with the Teatro San Carlo di Napoli in Romeo and Juliet.
Just before joining the Royal New Zealand Ballet in 2017, he worked with Daniele Cipriani Entertainment dancing in Coppélia, in the soloist role of Dracula and The Nutcracker, both choreographed by Amedeo Amodio.
