Alyssa Kelty is from Newcastle, Australia and began her dance studies at the Marie Walton-Mahon Dance Academy before entering full time training at the National College of Dance at the age of 15.
She was a Semi-Finalist in the Genee International Ballet Competition in London in 2015 and joined the Queensland Ballet Pre-Professional programme in 2016.
Alyssa was choreographed on by Paul Boyd for his work Breaths of Silence and worked extensively with Brisbane based choreographer Gareth Belling performing multiple works and pas de deux.
Alyssa performed with the Queensland Ballet in various roles including Derek Deane’s critically acclaimed work Strictly Gershwin in 2016, Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker in 2016 and 2017 and Swan Lake, also by Ben Stevenson in 2017, as well as multiple other roles with the Queensland Ballet.
She joined the RNZB in January 2018.
