Leonora Voigtlander was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She started her training at the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet School when she was five. As a teenager, Leonora received scholarships to study year-round at both the School of Ballet Chicago and the Miami City Ballet School.
Upon graduation, Leonora joined the Saint Louis Ballet. Favourite roles from her repertoire in Saint Louis include the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Blue Bird in The Sleeping Beauty and Rosaline in Romeo and Juliet.
Leonora was also featured in Twyla Tharp’s The Storyteller and Christopher D’Amboise’s Volatizing the Esters, and she performed the principal roles in both Balanchine’s Valse Fantaisie and Allegro Brillante.
Leonora joined the RNZB in June 2014. She has performed in A Christmas Carol, Don Quixote, Salute and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, where she appeared as Peaseblossom.
